Excel Index UL is flexible premium equity indexed universal life insurance policy issued by Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. in most states, and issued in New York by Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. of New York. It is designed to offer you life insurance protection, growth potential linked to a portion of the gains in the S&P 500 Index and a guaranteed interest rate that protects your policy values from market loss.
Excel Index UL can provide affordable protection for your family or business. The death benefit is payable to beneficiaries tax free to help meet the needs of those you leave behind.
Excel Index UL offers growth potential by providing you two ways to allocate your money:
The participation accounts offer the potential for growth, depending on the performance of the S&P 500 Index. If the S&P 500 Index increases, excess interest above the guaranteed interest will be credited at the end of the 12 month Index Period.
Any earnings grow on a tax-deferred basis so your money can work for you over the long term. You can use the funds to pay for college expenses or to supplement your retirement income.
Withdrawals and loans will reduce available death benefit and policy value. Withdrawals beyond basis may be taxable income. Excessive and unpaid loans will reduce death benefits and policy value and may cause the policy to lapse.
Even if the S&P 500 Index is flat or declines, your Excel Index UL policy will not lose money. Instead, a guaranteed interest rate of 2% is credited to your account value, even when the market falls. Guarantees depend on the claims-paying ability of the issuing company.
A variety of riders and features gives you the flexibility to structure your Excel Index UL policy to meet your unique financial needs.
