What is your current position or role?

I serve as the bridge between businesses and the Nebraska Athletic Department, helping connect brands to Husker athletics and our passionate fanbase. Through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and creative campaigns, I work to ensure each collaboration is impactful—both for the businesses involved and for the overall fan experience.

What sparked your interest in athletics?

Growing up around sports and later cheering at the University of Nebraska, I quickly realized how powerful the sports world is—not just in competition, but in building community, tradition and pride. I was drawn to the energy and passion that surround collegiate athletics, and I love getting to contribute to that in a behind-the-scenes but meaningful way.

What is your current position or role?

Huskers Radio network producer, reporter and host. Host of Sports Nightly, sideline reporter for Husker football broadcasts and host/producer of the Huskers Radio Network Podcast, Huskers social/digital media talent.

What sparked your interest in athletics?

My dad was a basketball coach, so I grew up in a gym. I fell in love with the game and played all throughout high school. I also grew up watching football and basketball with my dad and brother. Sports were always a part of my family and so much of what we did together growing up.

Volleyball


Did you know?

  • In 1975, with no state funding, the team jogged 50 miles from Lincoln to Omaha to raise money for uniforms and travel, just one day after a match. This grassroots effort helped fund their trip to a national tournament and symbolized their determination and grit.
  • Nebraska’s first volleyball coach, Pat Sullivan, was also the swimming coach and led the team to a 34–8 record in its debut season. Her dual role reflects the early challenges of building women’s athletics programs from the ground up.

Did you know?

  • Long before women’s sports were widely accepted, Nebraska’s women’s basketball team played its first intercollegiate game in 1901, defeating the University of Missouri. This marked one of the earliest organized women’s athletic competitions in the country.
  • In the 2009-2010 season, the Huskers went 30–0 in the regular season, the first Big 12 men’s or women’s team to do so. They finished 32–2 overall, reached the Sweet Sixteen, and drew the program’s first–ever sellout crowd at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

  • Nebraska has won eight national titles, including six NCAA championships, making it the most decorated program in NCAA women’s bowling.
  • The program has produced All-Americans for 35 straight years, with 55 bowlers earning 111 All-Academic honors.

  • The Huskers have won five conference championships and four district titles, showcasing a strong tradition of competitive excellence across multiple decades.
  • Since 2000, the women’s cross-country team has earned Nebraska’s Herman Award, given to the athletic team with the highest cumulative GPA, 13 times more than any other program at the university.

Did you know?

  • In 2021, Kate Smith became Nebraska’s first-ever Big Ten Conference champion in women’s golf. She tied her own school record with a final-round 64 (-8) at TPC River’s Bend, securing the title and making program history.
  • Heidi Wall (Stark) became Nebraska women’s golf’s first CoSIDA Academic All-American in 1996. She was also a two-time NGCA Scholastic All-American and a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection, setting a high academic standard for the program.

  • Nebraska Rifle has 23 NCAA top 10 finishes, including eight in the top five, a testament to the program’s long-standing national competitiveness.
  • In January 2025, junior Emma Rhode set a program record for the highest aggregate score at the Roger Withrow Invitational, highlighting the team’s continued excellence and individual talent development.

  • In just its third season, Nebraska went undefeated in the 1996 regular season (19-0), won both the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles, and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight. The Huskers entered the tournament as the only unbeaten and untied team in the nation.
  • Eleven former Cornhuskers have competed in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Did you know?

  • In 1983, Nebraska placed third overall at the inaugural NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship, behind only Stanford and Florida. This early success marked Nebraska as a national contender in the sport’s first official NCAA-sanctioned season.
  • Nebraska’s program has developed Olympic-level talent, including Helene Muller, who represented South Africa in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and Therese Alshammar, who swam for Nebraska before becoming a three-time Olympic medalist for Sweden.
