Power guard for UNL women’s basketball team and outfielder for softball team
Years playing: Since I was 5 or 6
What is your current position on the team?
I’m about to be a redshirt freshman point guard on the women’s basketball team. I will also be a sophomore on the women’s softball team this spring. Last spring I was an outfielder as well as a pinch runner for the team.
What sparked your interest in athletics?
I’ve always been a competitor. When I was young in elementary school, every time I lost a game in P.E., I cried so I knew I wanted to compete at a high level.
Who are the women in athletics that have influenced you the most?
My mom has been the biggest role model/influence on me since I could speak. She’s been a coach my whole life and I’ve always wanted to grow up and be just like her.
What is one of your favorite moments or career highlights?
My favorite basketball moment was my senior year in high school when I hit a buzzer beater in the HAC tournament semifinals. My favorite softball moment was when we beat Tennessee the first game in Super Regionals this past year.
Is there a uniform, award or object in sports that holds special meaning for you?
Not really a uniform, but the number 15 has always stuck with me. I’ve been number 15 in softball, basketball, soccer, on almost every team I have played on. Definitely my lucky number.
