Kim Robak earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with distinction and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Nebraska, Order of the Coif with highest distinction.

Robak began her career as a teacher. She was a partner with Rembolt Ludtke Parker and Berger law firm and chief of staff and legal counsel to former Governor and former U.S. Senator E. Benjamin Nelson. Robak served as Nebraska’s Lieutenant Governor from 1993 to 1999. She was vice president of external affairs and corporation secretary for the University of Nebraska. Since 2004, she has been senior partner in Mueller Robak LLC.

She serves on the board of directors for the Ameritas Mutual Holding Company and Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. Robak is chair of the Ameritas Nominating and Corporate Governance committee. She is a member of the Ameritas Executive and Ameritas Compensation committees.

Robak serves on the Union Bank & Trust Co., Cooper Foundation and Museum of Nebraska Art boards of directors. She is the immediate past board chair of the Nebraska Golf Association and Lincoln Community Foundation. She is the vice president of the Hideaway Golf Club in LaQuinta, CA.

She was recognized by the Association of Private Club Directors as the distinguished club president for 2020 and is recognized by Campaigns and Elections as a Top 10 Political Influencer. Robak was named Influential Corporate Director by Women Inc. magazine in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She was chosen by peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the field of Government Relations Law and recognized as a Great Plains Super Lawyer since 2009. She was awarded the Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the College of St. Mary and was named a University of Nebraska College of Law distinguished alumni.

Robak is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association where she is a member of the Budget and Planning Committee.

Robak serves as the Nebraska delegate to the American Bar Foundation. She is also a fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation and National Association of Corporate Directors.
