Robert M. Jurgensmeier

Bob Jurgensmeier became chief executive officer on Jan. 2, 2024, after having served as executive vice president – independent distribution and investments. He began his career with Ameritas in 2012 as senior vice president and chief actuary – individual division, and has worked in the insurance and financial services industry for more than 25 years.

Jurgensmeier has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and holds the professional designation Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. In 2024, he was named a director on the LL Global board, the parent company of LIMRA and LOMA.

He is an active member of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Diocese of Lincoln Audit Committee and the Junior Achievement Board of Trustees. Jurgensmeier is currently on the CEO Steering Committee for ACLI and is on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business Board of Advisors. He is also a member and past president of the Nebraska Actuaries Club.
