Ameritas names Berry, Stremlau to senior vice president positions

LINCOLN, Nebraska – Ameritas Chief Executive Officer Bob Jurgensmeier announces the following officer actions.
Shannon Berry has been promoted to senior vice president, sales and distribution enablement, effective Aug. 23, 2026. Berry holds a Bachelor of Science in management. She has Life, Health and Casualty licenses, FINRA Series 7, 66 and 24 licenses, as well as FLMI, CLU and CFP designations. Berry is also a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Nick Stremlau has been hired as the new senior vice president, chief actuary and underwriting, individual, effective Aug. 10, 2026. He joins Ameritas from Assurity, where he served as vice president and actuary, product management, bringing more than 15 years of experience in actuarial and strategic leadership across life, health and annuity products. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Stremlau is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
