What is your current position on which team?

Redshirt Senior on the women’s golf team.

What sparked your interest in athletics?

I was fortunate to grow up in a sports-loving family where athletics were a part of our everyday lives. My parents encouraged me to try a variety of sports from a young age, and that instilled values in me that I never realized would become so important. Through sports, I’ve met some of the most amazing and hardworking people and have learned lessons that will stay with me for life.

Who are the women in athletics that have influenced you the most?

The woman who has had the greatest impact on my athletic journey is my mom. Her unwavering support and genuine love for sports have shaped who I am today. While she grew up playing volleyball, she embraced every sport I played and has been my biggest fan through it all. Her encouragement and presence have been a constant source of motivation and strength.

What advice would you give to young women entering athletics?

Don’t take a single moment for granted. Every practice, every tournament, and every challenge is a chance to grow as an athlete and as a person. Time in athletics flies by, and I wish I had taken more time to slow down and celebrate each moment, every win, big or small.

How have you seen the role of women in athletics evolve?

While the presence of women in athletics is still relatively new historically, I’ve never felt there was anything I couldn’t do because of my gender. Over the years, I’ve seen women gain further respect and recognition, especially in golf. Our voices are heard, our hard work is celebrated, and the game is becoming more inclusive and popular. It means a lot to me to be part of this incredible sport and to help inspire young girls to get involved.

What is one of your favorite moments or career highlights?

One of the most meaningful experiences of my career has been competing on the Nebraska women’s golf team alongside my sister. Sharing this journey and representing Nebraska with someone who has been by my side my entire life is incredibly special.

Is there a uniform, award or object in sports that holds special meaning for you?

A particularly meaningful item to me is an award I received at my home course after participating in a heritage tournament with my dad. Every year, my sister and I play with him in a holiday event, and those are some of my best memories with my dad. Golf is a sport you can enjoy for a lifetime, and sharing those moments with the person who introduced me to the game is something I am very grateful for. I thank God for the relationships I’ve built and strengthened through golf. This game has brought so much joy, connection, and purpose into my life.
