Years playing: Since I was 5 

What is your current position and what do you do? 

I’m a left-handed hitter, and a utility/infielder. This past year I was a senior, in my fourth year with the Huskers. 

What sparked your interest in athletics?

Growing up, I just loved getting to compete, and I’ve made all the best friendships through team sports! I especially loved team sports growing up because I love the concept of being part of something bigger than myself! 

What advice would you give to young women entering athletics? 

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t. If you have a dream, chase it – with passion, heart, hard work, and your strong will. You’re more than capable of achieving anything and everything not just in athletics, but in life! 

What is one of your favorite moments or career highlights?

My favorite moment has to be this past year, the Michigan series. Just being able to fulfill my role for the team and seeing everyone so excited for me at home plate after hitting a home run in my first AB in a while. It was just an amazing feeling seeing my people so happy for me because there’s nothing more I want than to contribute to the team any way I can. 

Is there a uniform, award or object in sports that holds special meaning for you?

I have this little red squishy heart with a happy face from my teammate, Haidyn Warner. I always kept it in my right back pocket of my softball pants just because it’s a reminder to always choose love, not just on the field, but in anything I do.
