Nick Stremlau
Senior Vice President – Chief Actuary and Underwriting, Ameritas
Nick Stremlau is a Nebraska native who received his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he also minored in business administration. He holds the professional designation of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Stremlau joined Ameritas in 2026 with more than 15 years of actuarial and strategic leadership experience across life, health and annuity products. He began his career as a civil engineer at a bridge design firm before moving into the insurance industry.
Stremlau is active in the community as a Fellow of Leadership Lincoln, a past president of a nonprofit board, and a TeamMates Mentoring mentor for ten years. He also volunteers in youth sports and has spent many seasons on the sidelines coaching each of his three children.
